Americana trio to play songs from upcoming release Wednesday, Jan. 9

ASHEVILLE, NC – Dec. 29, 2012 – Underhill Rose, Strada Italiano and Sazerac of Asheville are joining forces to support the funding of the next Underhill Rose album. On Wednesday, Jan. 9, Underhill Rose members Eleanor Underhill, Molly Rose and Salley Williamson will be performing songs slated for their upcoming album and meeting with fans at the famed Asheville eateries (27 & 29 Broadway Street) beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event offers a rare opportunity to hear the music that will make up the second Underhill Rose release, and provide supporters and potential donors with a chance to get to know the band.

“This is a great opportunity for us to share the songs from the new album and raise money for the recording process,” said Molly Rose, singer and guitarist. “We want this release to be the BEST Underhill Rose album and we cannot do that without the support of great friends and fans. Having the chance to see everyone in person is a great way to get to know our supporters and hopefully encourage more people to help us meet our goal. Not only do we hope to see our Asheville fans, but hopefully folks from throughout the region, including Tennesseans, Virginians and South Carolinians.”

The event is open to the public; with live music to begin at 6:30 p.m. in Strada Italiano. “Our (Strada & Sazerac) support of Underhill Rose is greatly for the benefit of us all and music history,” said Anthony Cerrato, owner of Strada Italiano and Sazerac. “These ladies’ dreams, with all of our help, will one day inspire the creative spirit through the magic of their music in all of us. Give now to help their dream manifest so they can give 1,000 times back to us all in the future.”

Eleanor Underhill, banjo picker and vocalist, is grateful for the support. “The people at Strada and Sazerac have been incredibly supportive of our career over the years. Not only are they providing us with a venue to perform and raise awareness about the new album, but 15 percent of every bill that night will go to our campaign. So, plan to come out, get a great meal at Strada and enjoy a nightcap with Underhill Rose at Sazerac.”

The band has set a donation goal of $15,000 through the crowd funding website Kickstarter. “We will only reach this target if our fans donate and encourage their friends and family to do the same,” said Salley Williamson, upright bass player. “And keep in mind, the $15,000 goal must be met by the cut off at 11:59 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12. If we don’t raise that much money, Underhill Rose will not receive any of the donations and the money remains with the people who pledged. We need our fans now, more than ever.”
